GIVING BACK PROGRAM
Giving Back Charitable Donation Program “Ió:ken - Empowerment for 7 Generations” will be dedicated to Akwesasne Children and Youth in 2026.
In establishing the Ió:ken Designs Inc. Partnership, a decision was made to demonstrate our business integrity and respect for the Akwesasne community where each year we will set aside a portion of our company profits in support of the families in our territory. In addition, Dr. Danielle Dubuc, Optometrist, will contribute 100% of the profit from each sale of the Seven Generation non-prescription sunglasses from her Optometry Office located at the Kanonhkwa’tsherí:io Health Facility in Akwesasne, QC toward this dedicated fund.

The Giving Back inaugural program will commence in 2026 and will be dedicated to Akwesasne children and youth to support food security programs. A request for proposals will be sought from Akwesasne based schools, organizations, cultural groups and clubs. To qualify they will need to demonstrate unfunded food program needs.

Each year the Giving Back program will focus on a specific theme and will be defined, and advertised within the community, via local media and targeted promotions. Ió:ken Designs Inc. is a “Distinctly Indigenous” small business, and our Giving Back Charitable Program intends to share and continue our traditional values of caring for each other and supporting the growth and resilience of the Akwesasne Community.
