We are pleased to introduce you to our new brand of exciting, culturally designed eyewear that will present quality frames that showcase distinct Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) designs and honours other Indigenous Nations. Ió:ken – A Culturally Inspired Frame Line
Ió:ken (pronounced Yo:guhn or Yo:gah) translates to “It’s Clear” in the Kanienkeha:ka (Mohawk) language. A new Indigenous designer eyewear company, based in Akwesasne, Canada, and in partnership with Centennial Optical Inc.

These beautiful frames feature original artwork by Mohawk artist, Bruce Boots, that are not only beautiful but steeped in cultural designs that speak to the honour and history of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) people and other Indigenous Nations. Our unique product and the spirit of Ió:ken Designs is to offer eyewear that can proudly be worn not only within Indigenous communities but for all who appreciate beautiful designs representing strong Indigenous cultures with an epic history.
